基於自己處女座自我要求完美個性，光良為了把中文、客語和文言文「三聲道」轉換到滾瓜爛熟，並且要求自己要自然地唱出自然發音，特別花了一個月閉關去練習「講話」跟閱讀，為此還特別請專業的客語發音老師一字一句教學，並在錄音室中反覆練唱高過百次，自嘲自己像是小學生在讀本的他靠著土法煉鋼的精神克服「三聲道」的困難；其中光良透露自己在讀文言文這部份下足苦心，儘管自己在求學時念中文學校，但對於成語及文學典故所知有限並僅限於基礎，也因此閉關的一個月期間天天都在念文言文相關故事及詞義，反覆吸收了解，他表示：「文言文幾個字或一句話就涵蓋完整文章的含義，真的太博大精深。文言文本身就有難度了加上客家版本，根本難上加難。」

此外，平時在台灣少講客家話的光良還常常打電話回家跟爸爸用客家話閒話家常，把爸爸當成半個客家語老師的他並藉著父子聊天回想過去相處日常，在錄音時投射自己因疫情兩年多未回家的思鄉情緒，讓錄音時能更加投入歌曲情緒，光良也藉著這次錄唱歌曲練習的機會跟家人更加頻繁聯絡，也愈加勾起思鄉之情，他表示：「希望疫情愈加趨緩，期盼年底有機會回馬來西亞一趟。」值得一提的是，首次挑戰中客語及文言文等元素在歌曲中的光良特別把錄音成果地一個分享給父母親搶先聽，並請家人們給評語，結果受英文教育的父親不但非常喜歡光良的新單曲，更說：「文言文好難，但這首歌好聽，會紅！」
2015年就曾幫武俠類手遊演唱主題曲的光良再次為該類型的曲風的歌曲跨刀，在演唱武俠經典手遊「天涯明月刀」主題曲〈天地吾鄉〉時由於情感投放自如，讓歌曲一釋出引來許多歌迷好評，更稱讚光良的溫暖聲線為這首主題曲更添天地人間的開闊，並隱含療癒人心的溫柔。有趣的是，不少歌迷更對於光良能把中、客「雙語」切換自如的能力驚訝不已，更好奇說到：「錄唱時舌頭不會打結嗎？」而難得演唱首由電玩類主題曲的光良透露自己除了為了錄音做功課去玩「天涯明月刀」外，自己先前玩手遊大多是趁著通勤時用來打發時間，他表示：「之前有在玩寶可夢和CandyCrush，現在是玩區塊鏈的STEPN遊戲。相對於打發時間，現在我會選擇玩需要讓我走出門，結合健康的遊戲。」
